2008. The bronze relief, called Szeged1585, was inaugurated on the 7th of June, 2008. It is also the first sculpture on the renovated main square. The map of the city from 16th century made by Márton Borbás, appears as an allegorical experience. The relief stands on pedestal made of limestone tiles. By the sculpture there is a current map of the city center and a description about Szolnokin 16th century from Evlia Cselebi, a Turkish traveler. The board is not only engraved but also inscripted with Braille for the good of the visually impaired. The funds were raised by the Rotary Club Szolnok from sponsorships and tenders. Among the visitors of the inauguration there was Dr. Mária Baranyiné Miks, the leader of the local organization of the blind and partially sighted, Dr. Imre Kovács, governor and Ferenc Szalay, mayor.
