The 'Touchable Nyíregyháza' plastic art was created as a result of the initiative and work of the Nyíregyháza Rotary Club, made possible by donations from individuals and businesses as well as by the support of the Mayor of Nyíregyháza and the President of Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County. Displayed in Kossuth Square in the city centre, the carefully moulded bronze material of the plastic art emanates class and individual artistic value.
Created by sculptor Tibor Lengyel, it provides a comprehensive picture of the main sights of the city centre, and to aid the blind and the visually impaired in finding squares and buildings, directions in Braille can also be found.
